I like the guy playing Littlefinger despite the frequently dodgy accent, but the writing for the character is very cringy, I agree. They have robbed the guy of his best attribute. Also, there must be another problem with the writing because I read something the other day where the actor claimed Littlefinger does not see Sansa as a sexual object/Cat substitute and only views her as a daughter substitute. Creepy as that relationship is, it's another layer that makes the character intriging. I'm hoping he hasn't read the books because it's really obvious how Littlefinger is torn between viewing Sansa as an extension of her mother and as the daughter he never had, and sometimes both at once.

Well it just irritated me that of all the things they thought we needed to know about the Dornish, the fact that they are big on sodomy was chief among them. Yes, Dornish being all about the free love is notable in their regional character, but HBO seems unable to accomplish ANYTHING with any degree of subtlety. I do not appreciate it when TV shows or films treat me like I am an idiot. That's fair, but out of the 6 million people who watched that episode, I would conservatively estimate that 5,500,000 of them ARE idiots and wouldn't understand the kind of subtlety that people who have brains would really like to see. I'm amazed that they haven't outright said that R+L=J, although in this episode they practically did.

I still don't put it past GRRM to have R+L not equal J too, just to be a dick.
And I understand people are stupid. I hate people. But even I don't think they are THAT stupid.

Oh I would love it if he just took all the popular theories and changed the story so they were wrong, just to fuck with all the fans. That would be hysterical.

I will think less of him if he changes the story at this point.

I don't know if anyone saw this, but it's literally the greatest commercial of all time.

Damnit, I'm hungry now! I heard about it and thought it was just a fan joke, didn't know it was an actual ad.

Just came back from the Game of Thrones Expo thingy.... If it was not free I really would have repented, the props were really nice but the costumes looked really weird sized, there was also a "In Memorial" with some of the dead main characters pictures, incluiding the fan favorite and super important Ros. What I really liked was a "behind the scene/ concept art" stand they had, and the "Climb the Wall Experience" with the Oculus Rift, it's not perfect but it's a great tecnology with great potential.
Anyway, I'm an overcritical asshole but it might have been awesome for some other people or those DAMN FILTHY CASUALS!

If they had a "kick Ros in the unmentionables" experience via oculus rift, I might be down.
Stupid character.

Or a crossbow game. There could be a choice between shooting Ros, Joffrey and Viserys.

I feel bad for Margaery. She's too hot to never get the D.

Well, it's left rather open to interpretation whether she doesn't or does. She may just be very good at not getting caught.

Wishful thinking.
To me that shot confirmed Bran is going to warg a dragon and said dragon will be in the vicinity of King's Landing. What with Bran learning "how to fly" and the shot of the dragon was placed between two shots of Bran falling from the window. Coincidence? GRRM wrote this episode so he knows what's up. Dany ain't doin shit.

I've only just realised that the actor playing Ramsay Bolton also plays Ash in Vicious. Very different parts, hehe!

I liked the episode but as my usual streaming site has got really bad and laggy the first few scenes dragged like hell, while I sat there impatiently waiting for the PW.
I guess they did the Reek/Ramsay/Roose stuff well but as I like none of those characters I wasn't a huge fan. But we did get Fat Walda, which was a nice touch. It's interesting that they have already sown the seeds for Moat Cailin but we knew there would likely be some Feast/Dance stuff in there. I just hope they don't go too far with Theon too soon.
The Lannisters all did pretty well, especially Tywin. I'm going to miss him. His scene with Olenna was brilliant. I wasn't a fan of the Brienne/Cersei scene because I think book Cersei wouldn't even register Brienne as a person worth speaking to. I also dislike how they have twice now had Brienne randomly walk up to people to introduce herself. Book Brienne in no way has the self-confidence to do that so it jars on me every time it happens.
I'm not overly bothered by the way Tyrion's relationship with Shae has altered. A rift was on the cards and they changed the dynamics of the relationship at the very beginning, so they couldn't have had Shae betray Tyrion in the same way as the book because it wouldn't have made sense. I'm guessing she was never on the ship and is hidden somewhere ready to be produced at the trial. Though I'm not sure who would do that seeing as Varys seemed genuinely interested in her welfare. Perhaps Cersei and/or Tywin got hold of her already. I'm guessing one or both of them has already got their claws in Bronn which would account for his failure to state outright that Shae WAS on the boat.
I'm annoyed that Sansa had so few lines in the episode. I wanted to see the scene where she meets Oberyn and Elia and is friendly and courteous to them and others. Instead we see her sitting like a frightened statue for most of it. While that shows her horror as well as her continued trauma over the loss of her family, it wasn't really the Sansa of the books, who always remains courteous in public, even when she's cold and uncommunicative to Tyrion in private.
The dwarves were done quite well and I think all major participants in the PW performed well. Joffrey's death was great and Cersei's reaction as well. I was really hoping it would conclude with the accusation to Tyrion so I'm pleased it did. I think we got a good sense of the animosity between Joffrey and Tyrion so the aftermath should play out well.
The scenes with Stannis, Melisandre etc were ok but I would have liked to see a little more urgency from Stannis. I like Shireen though.

Well HBO fucked up the Shae-thing from day one, so anything she gets is well deserved as far as I'm concerned.

It seemed to me that he was nasty to her to try and get her to leave, not because he actually believes the stuff he said, but because he has to appear like he does or she wouldn't go.
Having Bronn instead of Ilyn was a good change, I liked it.
Soooo many awesome put-downs!

What was up with that Oberyn and Loras thing, just because there's no Willas, there's no bad blood between Martells and Tyrells? And the Cersei-Brienne scene was just random. Olenna continues to be a bamf.
I liked it, but all in all the last half of it had a sitcom feeling to it.

D and D have admitted that they like to do scenes featuring "what if these characters who never spoke in the books got to meet?" Sometimes they work really well, such as Tywin and Arya, but I think sometimes they push it a little too far, as they have done with Brienne.
I liked Brienne meeting the Tyrell ladies but the Cersei scene felt all wrong. And in both cases it would have worked far better if Brienne had not been the instigator. The Tyrell scene would have been even better if Margaery summoned Brienne to ask her about Renly, while the Cersei scene could have had Jaime presenting Brienne to Cersei and both women taking it badly.
