I don't watch trailers of movies when I know I am going to watch them. I was at the theater to watch John Wick last night and they ran a featurette on Interstellar. I closed my eyes and covered my ears while humming to block it out. I embarrassed my companion. Was John Wick good? It looks good, but I'm not totally convinced Keanu actually knows what this "acting" thing is.

7 was just my rough estimate. Clearly it's around double that, but when there are 196 sovereign nations it makes little difference whether it's 7 or 14 that drive on the left. Also I'd venture an estimate that probably 80-85% of automobiles in the world are in those right side driving countries, namely the US, Continental Europe, and China; especially if this study was done in 1969. Saying that the side of the street they drive on is to blame for the higher accident rate in right hand driving nations is just silly considering all the variables more likely to be the cause.
I kind of want to see John Wick as well. It looked iffy but the reviews have been surprisingly great.

Yeah. I saw the trailer and I snickered to myself. I thought no way I am wasting my time. But the buzz was almost entirely positive.
I really liked it. It was a super solid action flick. The pacing was really good. And the performances pretty good. That action was really good and had me leaning forward with a stupid grin on my face. There were one or two plot issues but they are only mildly annoying. And he gets the cutest puppy in the beginning of the flick.

7 was just my rough estimate. Clearly it's around double that, but when there are 196 sovereign nations it makes little difference whether it's 7 or 14 that drive on the left. There's far more than 14. You'd better double that number again and then add some. Now will we start talking about the imperial vs. metric system?

I have one comment to make - what's with the cup measurement in cooking? That is weird to me. I have to convert or guess when I use The Feast of Ice and Fire. I made the medieval lemoncakes for my dad the other week because he couldn't eat the chocolate cake i made for mum and myself. The medieval lemoncakes turned out more like a normal cake when the recipe said they were more biscuity so I guess my slight alterations made a difference but they were still damn good cakes!

I made the northern buttered beets the other day for a dinner party and they turned out great.

You realize that's more than 7 countries? I never said there were only seven! Brits don't get to talk shit on Imperial measurements when your roads still use them. And Horas, yes.

Wow, I don't remember posting any of that. Obviously it felt like a revelation last night though. Don't drink and post, kids. It is cool that it's the same guy, though. Guy's a talented voice actor, I believe him in both roles.
Edit: and that Archer cross-over episode makes so much more sense now.

So I saw Fury on friday, and it was fucking amazing. The acting was great, and plus tank warfare is just totally fascinating. Also, fuck the Nazis.
But yeah, it was incredible. Anyone else see it yet?

I saw it. I liked it and really enjoyed most of it. It is the best tank war movie I have seen. I feel like it was trying to say something but not sure what and I think it kind of stumbled toward the end. So good and I enjoyed it but I am not going to remember this movie in six months.

YES!! Also, I want to know who's foot was exactly 12 inches long. Who was this person that decided their feet were the standard all other feet would be judged by?

Birdman is gonna be the next movie I see; I've been watching a whole bunch of Harvey Birdman; Attorney at Law online, so it will be a great segue. I also want to see The Judge with Robert Duvall and RDJ

How was it Orys?
Haha Harvey Birdman is right up there with Archer for me. So damn funny.

I think most people are under the impression it involves the cartoon character. Which it might. It's kind of ambiguous whether THAT character is the same Birdman Keaton's character played in the 90s. They actually kind of look alike, and Keaton kind of does a Bale impression for those scenes.
Anyway, it was pretty good. Genuinely funny and interesting.

I don't think it's about THAT Birdman, but it's just funny that there actually IS a Birdman superhero character. It's like a subconscious association, I can't help of thinking of Harvey.

I remember watching the original Hanna-Barbara cartoon as a kid. That might date me a bit.

Did anyone see all the Marvel announcements today? Black Panther is getting a movie, as is Captain Marvel. Avengers 3 and 4 are gonna be the Infinity Wars (I'd prefer the Secret Wars, honestly) and Captain America 3 is officially titled "Captain America: Civil War".

I did indeed. Exciting stuff. Still more excited for the DC lineup. The Suicide Squad movie alone has me giddy. Never dreamed that'd come so early.

I know, I squealed when I read about that one. I'm kinda psyched for The Rock to be the DC Captain Marvel too, he's always hilarious. I don't know how I feel about Khal Draquaman, but I'll reserve judgement. Gal Gadot will make a great Wonder Woman, I think, although I don't know a thing about the dude they have playing the Flash.
I've been really liking the Flash show, have you been watching it?
