Sorry for the absence guys. Had a brief hospital stay this week dealing with killer kung fu migraines. I don't want to see another IV, CT scan or MRI for the rest of my life. But the drugs are good.  |

Sorry gang, week has been a bit more troublesome than expected. Working out my new schedule to try and be more reliable until the 27th when my new 9-5 job starts. At that point we might need to raise someone up to the admin ranks, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I've been thinking about that too. Right now the priority is the dragon fight as you're the only one who can fairly do that.

I hate bugging you but I had really been hoping the fight would be done by the end of this week. I know you wanted to do the 1st big dragon fight but I am seriously contemplating the possibility of finding someone else who can be trusted to roll it fairly, so the game can progress. |

I'd hope most of the players would know I wouldn't purposely be unfair with rolls. but in all honesty, I don't trust myself in this particular instance. As I know I have an issue here, I figured it's best to keep temptation out of my way. That's logical, I think. And also perhaps better than making a particular character impossible to kill. which we said we wouldn't do.

I would agree. We all have our shortcomings as admins (as folks are so keen to remind me). Being attached to your NPCs is hardly a damning one.

It was my understanding that the dragon fight rules are not even posted anywhere, so nobody else is even capable of rolling one of these fights before any potential trust issues even come into play. I would have been happy to work together with Marie to get this done, if I had any idea how it was supposed to be rolled. I'm sure that, between the two of us, we could come up with the equivalent of one impartial person.

It would be handy to have the dragon rules clarified for the future, I agree. So that would be really handy, Zack, when you have the time. It's just unfortunate, I think, that this particular dragon fight is the first proper one we've got. Bertram's, which was the closest thing we previously had, didn't result in a full on fight.
