Appearance: Kesi is tall with light blonde hair that she has dyed blue and light blue eyes. Though born and raised in Great Moraq, like many there she is mistaken for a native of Qarth.
Personality: Kesi is nothing if not stubborn. She speaks her native language of Qartheen most of the time. She has a love of magic and using it, and will help anyone that asks. She bears a deep sorrow that is obvious in her but refuses to talk of it.
Background: Kesi was born and raised in the Island of Great Moraq in the city of Faros, to a family of travelling traders. Kesi was born a very small premature baby who was taken to the Warlocks of Qarth in the hope to make her healthier. In return of the magic he was to use on the child, the warlock that healed her, Zuberi, demanded that on her twelfth birthday that the girl was given to him. Her mother, Serq agreed and Kesi was made healthy.
Until then Kesi travelled with her mother on the trade routes, where she learnt to ride properly and identify certain herbs, leading to a fascination with all things botanical. She stayed on the caravan that they travelled with listening to all the languages and slowly learnt the two languages of Common tongue and High Valyerian, with her families help.
When she reached the age of twelve, she was given over to Zuberi who taught her a little of what she now knows of magic, healing and poisons. He awoke a desire in the girl to learn more and under his guidance she started to travel to learn more, ending up all over the lands of Essos.
She found her mother again after 10 years, and she told her the truth about her parentage. Angered that her biological father could have left after basically raping her mother as he did Kesi swore revenge on the father that she had never met. Serq died when Kesi reached the age of twenty two.
Later that year the girl married Zuberi’s bastard child and bore him a son that they called Nkuku, living in relative peace as Kesi and her family continued to travel. When she was pregnant with her second child the caravan that they were travelling with was accidently hit by Prince Maeron with dragon fire. Nkuku and his father were burnt to death while Kesi was severely injured, making her lose the child and leaving her badly scarred, which she now covers up using a glamour. The damage that the Prince did to her has stopped her from being able to have another child, even if she wanted to.
Kesi travelled to the city and opened a shop until her skills were found by the ruling family, who now house her as a court sorceress. After becoming King Maegor's lover for several liasons and using shadow magic to kill the High Septon Kesi adopted two children that she had seen starving in the city. On an occasion when the bastard Maekar was unable to preform she was blamed for being the cause of his misfortune. He used the boy that she had adopted Gendry against her, dangling him from her window. Since that day she has swore a revenge on the eldest of Maegors children.
Kesi was approached by a friend for help in killing Maegor. Of course she agreed and at the age of 38 she finally made a start on the promise that she had made the day that her family was murdered and succeeded in murdering her lover... All that she could say afterwards was that it was a shame, Maegor had entertained her greatly and his death was a loss in her night life. Realising that with Maegor's patronage that she was likely to be either chased from the city or killed, Kesi decided to pack up her Westeros life, bid farewell to her family and leave Westeros. She made a deal with Sergio to keep the death of Maegor under wraps until after she left, and so two days after Kesi left, Maegor was found in his chambers deceased.
Kesi fled to Braavos where she moved in with Sergio for a few days. She sent a message to Maekar, not aware that by then he had died, taken to him by a blue haired girl that she had paid well and rendered mute, so that nobody could know where she had disappeared to. Always aware that she had her two adopted children to look after, Kesi borrowed money from a close trading friend until she could send for money in Qarth. Deciding that Braavos was the safest place for Gendry and Rosey, Kesi bought a home for the mismatched family there and started her trading empire again, an easy role for her to slip into.
Within a few months Kesi had built up a substantial empire, becoming known, under an alias, as the person to go to when you wanted something rare or unusual. Kesi made several trips to Westeros, always using a new glamour so as not to be found, until by chance she bumped into Maelys Targaryen. Despite what the Lord of Oldtown had done for the poor (something that Kesi applauded) he was still a Targaryen. It was late one night that Kesi appeared to him, with no glamour and a thirst for more revenge. Using shadow magic once again Kesi murdered the Lord and once again disappeared, enjoying the uproar that followed her work.
Once again returning to her life in Braavos, Kesi is the perfect mother to both Gendry and Rosey, her earlier favouritism for the boy all but disappearing as Rosey grew into a more then capable woman, with Kesi leaving her trading duties in the girls hands during every trip away. She paid for Gendry to learn all that he wished for, and the boy grew up dabbling in swordplay and trade equally, Kesi wanting the children to be adaptable in all that they did. She payed special attention as they were growing in the children's education, making sure that they were able to speak at least two other languages. Qartheen and High valeryian, and the three often sat and discussed their days in one of the three.
Despite her wishes, Kesi has not returned to Qarth, except upon hearing that her former master and father in law was dying, where she returned to see him one last time and introduced him to her adopted family. He died the day after her return and Kesi took the news badly, her last remaining link to her husband and true son having gone. Since then Qarth holds too many painful memories and so Kesi has vowed not to return, leaving trading visits home to Rosey.
