"Of course," Daenya said, hopping onto Vanderas' back. "I'll make sure he doesn't fly to high."

Elseyris could feel the ambassador's hands shaking a little, as well they might. A dragon flight was no ordinary thing for anyone not blood of the dragon. But he spoke with apparent calm. "I am ready, my ladies. You honour me."

"I am ready, my ladies. You honour me." She patted his arm reassuringly, then flicked Nenyan's reins, setting him into motion, his slender body angling up into the sky. Once in the air, she levelled him out, next to Daenya, and brought them to a slow, lazy glide. She turned her head to look happily at the Ambassador; "There we are, Sir. Safe and sound," she said. "How do you like the view?"

I have never seen the land in this way. A beautiful kingdom to be sure."

She flew Nenyan along a slow, winding trail over the city for a short time, before calling to Daenya, and bringing the dragon down to land, in a gentle spiral towards the great doors of the Dragon Pit. Having Nenyan lie himself down again, she helped him out of the saddle, making sure he was steady on his feet before letting go. "There, you have now done something your Tyroshi peers have not, Sir!"

Daenya decided to remain in the saddle for a while longer, letting Vandaras swoop over low over the city, then higher up, until she was over open countryside.

"So I have." He was a little unsteady as he got down, being unused to the sensation of being in the air, and his stomach had turned a little at the descent. "The honour is all mine." He bowed very low. "I did not know there was such kindness in the dragon princesses." Perhaps he had forgotten that Elseyris was not allowed to call herself a princess, or perhaps not.

"You flatter me, Sir. It is my cousin here who is a Princess, not myself. But I am glad you enjoyed the experience. We shall return our dragons to their places in the pit, and then see you safely back. Take a moment to sit, perhaps. Flying can unsettle the unaccustomed body." She led Nenyan back to his nook in the pit, and removed his riding accoutrements. Stroking his face lovingly, she bade him farewell, and returned to meet Daenya and the Ambassador. She kept an eye on him on the way back, as she had seen him wobble a little after landing, and wanted to be ready to assist if he took a turn. Once they found one of his number, she would be able to place him in their hands.

But the ambassador smiled warmly at her. "You are very kind, my lady. I thank you so much for your kindness. I hope I can be of service to you in future."

It has been a pleasure to entertain you. May your alliance with our family be prosperous." As they strolled down the corridors of the Red Keep, they eventually found some of the Ambassador's retinue. "I must go now, Ambassador. I trust we shall meet again. Until then, I hope you enjoy the rest of your time here."

"I will," he said. "Good day, my lady." He bowed and headed off with his companions.
