Visenya went to her dragon, Silverwing. It still felt so good to be able to fly without an escort, to have power. The few men she had brought would stay there, on the ground, and aid her in her mission. She patted the great white beasts neck and saddled her, speaking softly to her dragon. Despite her happiness at flying alone, this was still treason. She would do what she had to, now, or die trying.
She and Silverwing took to the air, rising like an arrow flying from a bowstring, straight up. After they had reached some height, they descended some, and began to soar in broad circles around the Pit, looking to see in anyone else was mounting their dragons or taking to the sky. If they tried, Visenya and Silverwing would stop them.

With half the Dragonriders away from the city and others occupied elsewhere, nobody challenges Visenya.

Visenya turned her eyes toward the pit and waited. Surely a sound like that would be followed by a dragon streaking upward like a bat from the seven hells. She held her breath and wove back and forth overhead, waiting. Nothing. She found it profoundly odd, and continued her figures of eight, simply waiting, though now a good deal more nervous than before.

Maekar came galloping up to the Dragonpit, and leapt off his horse as it skidded to a halt outside the massive structure. Silverwing still circled above, and when Cyrax shot out of hte great bronze doors and into the sky himself, his rider was clad in a suit of black plate mail, Vigilance gleaming in his right fist and a kite shield cunningly strapped to his left arm. He moved as close to Visenya as he could, smiling grimly, and asked her to land and go to the appointed place.

In a different part of the Dragonpit, Rhaella was readying Amethyst. The Queen was armoured in black mail with a black surcoat emblazoned with the three-headed dragon of her house. She had a black steel helm, high leather boots and Dark Sister sheathed at her side and newly sharpened in readiness.

Malcolm enters the dragonpit and takes off quickly after on Ereban, flying in the direction of Dragonstone.

King Maekar departed King's Landing aback Cyrax, flying north along the coast. He gave orders that his wife, Queen Visenya is to exercise the King's authority over the city in his absence, while Lord Redwyne is to be in charge of its defense.

Ser Jaecarys arrives at the Dragonpit with Aquxax, having flown north from Sunhouse. He waits until he is let in, and claims a empty cave for his dragon to sleep in while in the capital.

August 98
Alysanne and Taena arrived at the dragonpit and Alys looked around for whoever was in charge.

There were quite a number of guards at the pit. Fortunately they recognised Taena but one asked "Who is your companion."
"Lady Alysanne Arryn," said Taena.
They were allowed to enter, the great doors swinging wide. Taena, thinking that perhaps Alysanne and her dragon were not very accustomed to other dragons, excepting her own Victory, said "Go carefully. Be sure not to enter an occupied cave."

"Alright," Alysanne said, sounding a little bit unsure but not letting herself be too scared. She slowly entered the cave with Taena and looked about. "This will be the first time Daeneryon will be chained, so she may not take to it too well."

"You must make sure she stays calm," Taena warned. "Victory is used to it, bless her. I had best get her to her cave and chain her without Daeneryon seeing. The poor thing will only grow agitated if she sees Victory chained, I suspect."

Alysanne nodded, taking Daeneryon further down until she found a cave that wasn't occupied. She looked for a chain and slowly led her dragon towards it.
"Now don't worry, I will come and visit you. Will you be alright?" She said to Daeneryon, stroking her head.

Fortunately the dragon seems to be calmed by her rider's presence and does not balk at the unfamiliar sight of the metal chain nearby. The young dragon seems fairly calm but interested in her surroundings. .
Behind her, Alysanne hears voices, likely some other dragon and its rider and there is the tantalising smell of cooked beef.

Alysanne swiftly and gently put the chains around Daeneryon's neck and locked them shut, before stepping out of her cave.
"Hello? Who is there?" She called out.

"Daenerys." The voice was high and female, younger than Alysanne. "I came to see my dragon."
The area between the caves was lit by torches and Alysanne now saw that the speaker was a pretty girl clothed in a dirty silk tunic and dark breeches.
"Who are you? I don't know you."

Alysanne smiled and gave the girl a wave. "I am Lady Alysanne Arryn, the daughter of your namesake it seems. I have only just arrived in the city for the first time."

"Oh. I've heard of you," the girl said bluntly. "The Queen is my mother, you know. Are you staying at the Red Keep. Alysanne?"

"Ah... my mother was your mother's best friend then, princess," Alysanne replied kindly, now smiling. "I have not been to the Red Keep yet. Perhaps I could go there with you?"

"Of course. We can walk, ride or take a litter if you prefer. I like to walk when I've time. It's interesting to see what's going on in the city. Did you come alone?"

"Walking sounds like fun; Taena Royce came here with me, so we will need to find her on the way," Alysanne replied.

"Oh. I've met her, she has Victory. Why didn't your father want to come with you? I wish I had a father, but mine is dead and Mother isn't married. I've three brothers though," she confided. "And some uncles."

"My father is very busy in the Vale, and I wished to make my way here swiftly, via dragon," Alysanne explained. "I am sorry that your father is dead... my mother isn't alive either, so I know how you feel."

Daenerys nodded. "Finally someone who understands. My elder brothers never knew their father, either, but he was a traitor so who cares about him?" She shrugged. "I just need to make my farewells to Skydancer. I left her tearing into roast beef but she's probably devoured the lot by now. Maybe yous should say farewell to your dragon too, and we can meet outside, alright?"

"He was still your father, no? Surely that counts for something," Alysanne said, then nodded. "I shall say my farewells to Daeneryon and meet you outside."
She curtsied and left to do as she had said.
