Daenerys nodded thoughtfully, seeing no harm in leaving Janos to protect Driftmark now that Aegon and his plethora of dragonriders had returned to Dragonstone. "You make a good point," she replied. "Baelon most likely be easily convinced if the queen is present. Are you sure you are willing to take this detour? I hope it will not interfere with any plans you and Aegon might have already m-" she stopped mid-word in sudden realization. "By the gods.. The letter I received this morning was about Maekar announcing his coronation and summoning everyone to King's Landing. If there was a duel, it must mean it has ended. I am so sorry."

Rhaena closed her eyes for a long moment, the news of her mother hitting her hard, she had never thought rhaella would lose a duel, but she had lost a lot of her thoughts about her parents immortality with the death of her father. "Perhaps we shall get there to crash his party." Rhaena said voice shaking slightly from some emotion, it being sadness or anger was not clear, probably both.

"Aegon will not mind the detour, it will get him more supplies and should not take long, he has plenty of other dragons with him I. Dragonstone, I will send him word before we go, if you may use your solar and your ravens for a time?"

"As soon as possible." They had left for Driftmark in the midday so it was evening now, "it will probably be best to wait until morning, me can fly flat out to the step stones and then return just as fast." She said, resting her hand on top of Daenerys' and giving her a smile, "give us time to catch up a bit and feed the dragons."

Yana gives the Lady a graitful smile when she's looked at, but doesn't comment, she looks at ease in the company of so many high born, and is clearly aware that unlike Elseryis's butting in, her opinion has not been asked for.

"It is no trouble at all," she replied. "You are among friends here."

Dany had just washed the last of her bread down with some wine as she was handed the heavy piece of parchment. She raised an inquiring eyebrow, but accepted it and started to read. Slightly confused at the first few lines, she had to skip to the end to see it was signed by Maekar. Then, she burst out in laughter. "Is he serious?" she asked, looking to Rhaena.

"He was the one who had your father killed?" she asked with a frown, but proceeded to read the letter since she had not fully done so.

"According to this letter, he will bring you his own head on a pike, then," said Daenerys, a corner of her mouth twitching a little even though king Maegor's death must have been hard on Rhaena. She cleared her throat and read a few lines of Maekar's literary masterpiece in a low dramatic voice. "I am worse than useless without you by my side, and the your absence has made me realize how lost I am without my Rhaena. You are my true equal, and nothing in Visenya or Vira can match up to you. Visenya is soft in the head and only wants my gold, while Vira has shown me that a commoner is very dull company outside of bed. They suck up to me, while you always stood up to me," she read, and looked to Rhaena with a smirk that implied she found the lines rather ridiculous.

"I will not allow Aegon to sit the Iron Throne in defiance of our father's wishes, but more importantly, I will not allow Aegon to claim what I have long cherished, adored and coveted: you," she continued, laughed lightly at that, placed the parchment on the table and pushed it back towards Rhaena. "I find it insulting he actually expects you to believe it, especially after declaring you the most intelligent woman in the world."

Dany tilted her head back slightly as she laughed at what was most likely the best line of the whole letter. "He is quite the poet. Did you reply to it?" she asked.

The next morning, Dany and Mith took to air rather early and flew above the island, waiting on the others to travel south.

Following behind the Queen, Elseyris swept up into the air on Caraxes, gliding again into formation with the others.
