I should have made them actually fight. I did roll something like that once, but it was between 2 NPCs, both of whom were played by me. They were fighting over one of the PCs as one was his wife and the other his mistress.

I'd be really sad to lose either Elsey or Rhaena at this point though. Both have huge potential to cause drama later down the line, and probably not even very far in the future. Let's get those plots started before we kill one of them off.  |

They weren't exactly lovers. If anything happened between them it would have been a long time ago when a much younger Rhaella got jealous of Maekar's many lovers and tried to make him jealous that she had someone else too. But as Zack told me ages ago that Maegor wouldn't mind at all if Rhaella slept around, it wouldn't have succeeded and only happened a couple of times as a result. I always figured it was more of a one sided passion on Valarr's part anyway. So it would be kind of like Lancelot and Guinevere with a lot less sex.
Lately I've thought about giving Rhaella a lover since I feel like their marriage is about to go through a very rough patch but I genuinely can't think of anyone she'd go for.
Unfortunately for me I seem to have vastly overestimated the degree to which Maegor regards his wife, even allowing for his interest in extramarital sex. I'm now realising that I shouldn't have let Rhaella care about him as much as she did in the beginning.

Maekar, I lost my bastard character and wanted another one so I made Edmund. My other Targaryen blood NPCs are all female so it's handy to have a guy sometimes.
And Daenya, it's not a case of doing what I want, exactly. It's more a case of making a miscalculation right at the beginning and not knowing how to "fix" it now.

Is Maekar supposed to be heartbroken over the death of the great warrior bastard brother that keeps making goo goo eyes at his wife? Think that shows he cares for her in his own warped way,
Considering most would likely expect the character to be more concerned with the loss of a useful commander and dragon, I thought it was a good way to show he's not made of stone.
