I'm sure Stranger has thought through the implications of this. The White Swords might resent being given such an order, and it will be up to the admins if that resentment turns into something more dangerous, but I doubt it was a willy-nilly move.

I'd not have said anything were it not clear in the novels that Boros is given the job because they all think he's useless at actually protecting Tommen and it's a kind of punishment for that, whilst being seen to keep up the pretence that a Kingsguard serves for life ((Barristan and Sandor aside). Plus they probably don't have grounds to actually execute Boros so it's convenient for the Lannisters to give him a job a knight wouldn't usually have.

I did consider that and I hoped to reduce it by not exempting Brandon from this duty either. Boros is shamed but based on Jaime's delivery he intends it to be shaming. Boros alone is given the task, and his combat prowess is mocked, where as Brandon is making it a question that no one else can be trusted to do this task but them.
