Damn didn't think anyone would mention Dark Tower but me, though it definitely makes my list.
Did you really just lump the sims in as a fantasy world? I feel nauseous. I ban Marie from commenting.

It is a bit of a fantasy rom com when you think about it, just with more sword fights and magic. I guess so. if it comes down to a romcom in the real world and one in a fantasy world, I'd pick the fantasy one every time. But still, nothing to be embarrassed about. Maybe your girlfriend is used to you liking things with more fights.

Zack, you're banished to the Black Cells too I personally don't count the Sims games as a specific fantasy world because they have such a vast amount of player input, particularly regarding world creation. I think I am a little out of love with them at the moment anyway. I have 3 incarnations installed on my PC and haven't played any in a fortnight or so.

In no particular order:
1. Enders Game universe. 2. The 'Verse from Firefly. 3. Avatar Universe. 4. Valdemar and other countries in that world by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon 5. Death Gate Cycle universe by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman 6. Malazan - Steven Erikson 7. Full Metal Alchemist 8. Pokemon 9. Dragon Ball Z universe 10. Westeros
There is no real ranking here, I just love them all in different ways haha

Stardust is amaze. We watched it last night and I had forgotten how delightful it was.
My list, in no particular order: -Westeros -the Napoleonic Europe of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrel (omg the background on the Raven King!!!) -Wheel of Time (I would still totally play a game set here...just always dreamed of being Aes Sedai) -Harry Potter's England -Narnia -the Napoleonic Europe of Temeraire (does anyone see a trend?) -Fables (also would be interesting to rp in this setting, since I know there are loads of fables not touched on in the graphic novel) -Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles -Actual Napoleonic Europe

The Malazan world definitely (think the world it is set on is called Wu). There's just so much richness in that universe that I don't even know where to begin talking about it. It just seems very real, cause there's so much history through millennia. Very good.

I liked the first Earth's Children. But that shit devolved into caveman porn pretty quick.

Erik
Porn and sometimes (more in the last two books) weak plot aside the world was nicely constructed and well researched

It was well-researched (For the time - some parts of the portrayal of Neanderthals haven't held up in the last 30 years, like their limited ability to vocalize). But the main character whose name I forget is very much a Mary Sue.

I am going to have to add in the final fantasy world/s
I've only played 7,8,9, and a trial version of 3 on my phone, but they were pretty fantastic
